Caleb is now 14 months old. He is doing so many fun new things.
The first week in May we went to South Carolina to visit with my grandparents and my mom's brother and his family. We had so much fun. We are looking forward to our next visit. While in South Carolina Caleb started to say 2 new words. Kitty and cheese. He doesn't say cheese as in food cheese but taking a picture cheese. When he says it he kind of cocks his mouth to the side. It is so cute. And my grandparents have cats and to call them we would snap our fingers and say here kitty kitty. So Caleb started to try to snap his fingers walking around saying "ki ki ki." He also learned how to go down the stairs. (Going backwards of course). We went and picked fresh strawberries, went to the beach, rode around on my grandparents' golf cart, my Grandmama Bishop is a master seamstress so she taught me how to do piping in pillows and she even let me use her embroidery machine. We went to a quilt show and got inspired and simply had a relaxing wonderful time.
It didn't take long for Caleb to adjust, thank goodness. And he traveled so well. On our way home it took a bit longer to travel because the weather in Chicago was bad. But even in that situation Caleb did surprisingly well. Thankfully we sat next to people who liked to entertain Caleb. They were playing peek-a-boo with the safety card. It was really cute.
